I'm the type of person that likes to do a lot of introspective viewing, often looking for ways to grow holistically. I like taking time to scrutinize my behaviour and thought patterns, identifying how I might be harmful to myself and others- you see, I don't want to be part of any problem but part of as many solutions as possible.
The plight of women in South Africa, where I was born and raised, is dire, to say the least, and it would be rather unfortunate if I- as a man- didn't speak up and try to be part of the solution towards a better future for women and children in my country.

As a follower of Christ, I look up to Him for solutions and ways of navigating matters that I encounter or matters that affect me and society as a whole. I believe Jesus Christ values women and so should every man, especially one who calls himself a follower of Christ. On this post I will just mention a few points without getting into detail- I hope they'll help set us on a journey towards recognizing and acknowledging the true value of a woman.
God values both men and women equally, God created both men and women in His image- both men and women are positionally equal before God. None is more valuable than the other before God.
God chose that our Lord Jesus Christ be born of a woman, He could've brought Jesus Christ into our world without involving a woman if He wanted to.
In a Jewish culture that discouraged women from studying the law, at least at that time, Jesus taught men and women as equals.
Jesus often featured women and their activities when describing the character of the Kingdom of God in His parables.
When Jesus Christ rose from the dead, He first revealed Himself to a woman.
In all His interactions with women- Jesus treated them with respect, dignity, and compassion. It was counter-cultural at His time, challenging societal norms that were placed on women during those times.
The Bible says men and women are fellow heirs to God's grace- even warning husbands to treat their wives with respect otherwise their prayers will be hindered.
These are just a few points that prove Jesus values women- and as men, especially those who call themselves followers of Christ, so should we!
This is just a post to start some form of conversation, as time goes by- we will delve deeper into the matter and try to come up with practical, sustainable solutions to make the world a better place for women using The Word of God as our light and lens.
C'mon gentlemen, let's always do best!
