Purpose...

I think all human beings have been wired, by God, to long to be a part of something bigger than they can fully comprehend. To accomplish something great and that will be of some significant influence, at least in our sphere of influence- it’s just that some are more conscience of it than others. I would loosely define it as being wired to fulfil a purpose…

Every human being has a God given purpose, that is unique to them as an individual- and there is sufficient grace, from God, to fulfil it. But before I go any further, maybe let’s begin by defining what exactly is purpose.

Purpose can be defined as “the reason for which something is done or created or for which something exists”- just a simple but not exhaustive definition.

Like I mentioned earlier, every human being has a God given purpose, that is unique to them as an individual- and there is sufficient grace, from God to fulfil it. I believe one of the ways that will lead us

into understanding our God given purpose as individuals, is by knowing and understanding our generic purpose as human beings.

I believe our generic purpose as human beings can be summed up in four points- we are created to:

1. Glorify God and enjoy fellowship with Him

2. Have good relationships with others

3. Work

4. Have dominion over the earth

But it is only by restoring fellowship with God, by trusting in the finished work of Jesus Christ, can we fully rediscover our God given purpose.
